Shipping Cost and Subsidized Shipping Credit
We ship via FedEx due to the perishable nature of our products. The shipping fee is calculated by FedEx based on the shipping method, weight, volume, and destination of the shipment. We understand that no one likes paying for shipping so we’ve subsidized the shipping cost FedEx charges by offering a shipping credit based on 20% of your cart value. This credit is automatically applied to every online order and depending on your cart value and shipping cost, you could receive free shipping. We appreciate your understanding and appreciate you supporting small family owned businesses.
Our primary shipping days are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Available items ordered by 1 pm PST, Monday through Wednesday, can be shipped the same day. Some orders may be able to ship on Thursday or Friday depending on the temperature at destination and the selected ship method. Some orders placed after our Wednesday shipping deadline may be held for shipping until the following Monday if the package will not arrive by Friday. To ensure product freshness, we do not ship on Fridays unless Saturday delivery is selected. On Thursdays, we only ship via overnight shipping method to avoid products being held in a non-temperature-controlled shipping facility over the weekend.
Warm Weather Shipping
To reduce the risk of melted chocolate on orders shipping to destinations with warm weather or longer transit times, we offer 2-Day and Overnight shipping options. All shipping boxes will include complimentary cooling materials where needed. Our ice gel packs are non-toxic and reusable. Our cooling materials will last for up to three days and cannot accommodate weekend shipping. To ship to temperatures of 95-98 degrees, overnight shipping may be required.
Please note that the estimated arrival date displayed during checkout is an estimate only and is not a guarantee. We recommend you allow extra days in transit when selecting a date to ship your package. We regret that we cannot offer refunds for shipments delayed due to circumstances beyond our control, such as disruptive weather, flight delays, mechanical issues, and other issues experienced by FedEx. However, please be assured that we will always do everything possible to meet the estimated arrival date.
Other Shipping Details
All packages are shipped giving FedEx the permission to leave your package on your doorstep if you are not there to receive it. To reduce the risk of melted or stolen packages, please make sure you will be there to receive it or select a business address for it to be shipped to. Lula’s Chocolates is not responsible for packages that are delivered but not received due to theft before they are collected.
Please ensure that the shipping address is correct and complete. Additional charges are incurred for address correction if the address is not entered correctly (incorrect house number/zip code/etc) or the address is incomplete (missing Apt/Unit/Suite/etc). FedEx charges a minimum $18 for each package with an address correction. These charges may be added to your credit card if the address was incomplete or entered incorrectly during checkout.
Unfortunately at this time we do not ship online orders to P.O. boxes, APO, FPO, DPO, or international destinations
